FAQ

Q: Does Medicare cover home health services?
A: Yes! If the service is prescribed by a physician and the patient qualifies under Medicare criteria, including homebound status, Medicare A will pay for home health services. ACCESSREHAB is currently in the process of getting a Medicare provider number.

Q: What services will Medicare cover?
A: Medicare A will cover skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social worker, and home health aide.

Q: Do I have a choice in which agency I use?
A: Yes! The patient is free to choose his/her home health agency of choice. No matter what a physician or facility discharge planner tells you, the patient always has the right to choose. If you are in a hospital, nursing facility, or assisted living facility, tell them that you would like ACCESSREHAB to take care of my home health care needs. See the "Basic Freedom of Choice" guaranteed by the Social Security Act (http://www.ssa.gov/OP_Home/ssact/title18/1802.html).

Q: Aren't all home health agencies the same?
A: NO! Most agencies may offer similar services, but only a few offer QUALITY service. ACCESSREHAB will only provide workers and clinicians who have been thoroughly screened and trained for the job needed.

Q: Can I get care and pay for it myself?
A: Yes. This is called Private Duty or Private Care. This service usually includes Companions, Homemakers, and/or Home Health Aides. This service does not require a prescription from a doctor.

Q: What payment methods are accepted by the company?
A: We currently accept checks as payment of services. We are waiting for contracts with various insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid. We are not accepting any third party payers at this time.
